Welcome to my new adventure into blogging!
I think that my first blog post should be all about me and why I craft.
I can tell you that I have been scrapbooking for over 20 years. I remember meeting a Creative Memories consultant at a craft show when we lived in Ottawa and my daughter was not even a year old. I saw an ABC book made with photos and scrapbooking supplies and I thought that would be a great idea to have for our daughter since we were so far away from our families — I would make her “just this one book” to show her everyone. And, as they say, the rest is history.
My first introduction to Stampin’ Up! happened when we had moved back to Alberta in 2004. It was my friend Beth for first introduced me to Stampin’ Up! which is probably fair because I think I introduced her to scrapbooking. And I was hooked. I bought supplies from my friend who was a demonstrator and when she decided to not continue, I decided that I should just sign up to get the discount. Many fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators will also tell you that they signed up for the discount.
But here is the thing, I was missing the social aspect of crafting. And it turns out several of my friends did too. I also missed showing and teaching those crafty things that I enjoyed. I wanted to spread the JOY of creativity. And now I share my joy of creating and crafting through my own business where I use my creativity and mentoring experience to guide my customers to a place of awe and delight as they create cards and gifts to spread their joy.
